Daybreak Nursery has by far been the best choice we have ever made for both of our sons and their pre-school years. Both boys started Daybreak under the age of one and have stayed their until moving onto the local school, still returning in the holidays for their out of school care.
The staff have all been amazing and what was important to us was the consistency, the same staff have been there for years so the boys were getting the same interaction day in, day out allowing them to build up important and loving relationships with everyone there.
Put quite simply, I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else, Daybreak Nursery is the ideal place for children, its fun, friendly and all the children are so happy and smiling every day.

Arran loves going to Daybreak and is always welcomed with a smile by Joanne, Jill and the rest of the staff and we are happy knowing he is happy and being well cared for.

My little boy started at Daybreak in January 2014 and we have been impressed with all aspects of it. The nursery is smaller than most creating a caring and nurturing environment. The recent refurbishment has given it a bright and welcoming feel. Daybreak offers a mixture of activities and a good balance between fun, learning, structure and boundaries. The greatest advantage to the nursery is the motivated, kind and professional team. My little boy often talks animatedly about all his ‘teachers’ and is always greeted with smiles (and sometimes a hug). I feel all of the staff have worked hard to get to know him and his interests and his confidence and social skills continue to thrive. Communication between his key person / all staff and us is excellent. The most important thing to us is he is happy to be at nursery and keen to attend every session to see his friends and his teachers. We would thoroughly recommend Daybreak and are very happy with the choice we made to send our son there.

My daughter started at Daybreak when she was six months old she’s now three, she was born premature and has health problems and Joanne has been amazing with her since day one. It is so reassuring seeing the bond build between her and Joanne, even now that she has moved from the baby room into the older children’s room she goes to give Joanne & Jill a cuddle everyday before she comes home.
I have been unwell since having my daughter and have been in and out of hospital a lot, Joanne has done so much to try and make these difficult times easier she will regularly e-mail me pictures of my little one doing activities and having fun. Due to the difficulties at home my little girl is quite anxious and sometimes gets upset and just wants cuddles and reassurance Joanne and all the staff at the nursery have worked with myself and my husband to find ways to help my daughter to understand what’s happening, she will often ask a member of staff to go and see Joanne as she is feeling “sad” it’s such a weight of our minds knowing that she is being so well cared for.
As part of one of our daughter’s health problems she takes medication which her body could begin to reject at any time and when it happens we need to be certain that we realise the meds have stopped working as soon as possible as if this went unnoticed she’d become very poorly, all the staff at the nursery are aware of the signs to look out for and have made us aware immediately.
The nursery and the garden are continuously having things done to it and this is apparent as soon as you walk in as it has a happy, friendly atmosphere filled with lots of smiling little faces! My daughter especially loves being outdoors and loves playing in the newly improved garden at nursery. Personally I think it’s lovely that nursery has a box full of books in the entrance hall where children can select books to take home and read then return. Regardless of age reading is so important and helps with a child’s development and this little library set up is a fantastic way of encouraging this.
The nursery staff have gone over and above what would be expected from them, especially Joanne who has become more of a family friend than nursery teacher.
